How free PN practice
works.
Start with a short diagnostic, continue with adaptive practice, then review results by client-needs category.
Start with 150 free questions a month
The NCLEX-PN® is computer-adaptive, so it gets harder or easier based on how you answer. Your practice works the same way, and every question ends with an instant rationale that explains why the right answer works and why each wrong option does not.
Your first 7 answers show where you stand
Seven questions against the PN blueprint and a straight read on where you stand, inside the same monthly allowance. No separate test to sit through.
Track your readiness by client-needs category
See your mastery across the same categories the 2026 PN test plan uses, weighted toward Coordinated Care the way the blueprint is. Lily drills the topics you keep missing until you're confident going into test day.
Want exam-day conditions? The PN Test Simulation runs a timed, timed session with adaptive difficulty, followed by topic results and rationale review. It’s part of Full Access.See what Full Access includes
What the 2026
NCLEX-PN® looks like.
Review the exam format, then use Lily’s practice tools with a clear understanding of what they do and do not simulate.
It's computer-adaptive, 85 to 150 questions
The NCLEX-PN® uses computer-adaptive testing. The exam serves between 85 and 150 questions and ends once it can determine your result with confidence, so you won't see the same test as your classmates. Study With Lily's Test Simulation mirrors that adaptive behavior so the format feels familiar on test day.
There's no fixed passing percentage
You don't need to hit a set score or answer a certain percentage correctly. The exam decides pass or fail once it's confident your ability is above or below the passing standard. That's why practicing at adaptive difficulty matters more than chasing a percentage on a static mock test.
Coordinated Care leads the PN blueprint
The 2026 PN test plan puts more weight on Coordinated Care than the RN exam does. You practice the LPN/LVN version of delegation, supervision, and care coordination, where you receive direction and reinforce the plan of care rather than lead it.
Every question uses a Next Gen format
The NCLEX-PN® uses the same Next Gen formats as the RN exam: SBA (single best answer), SATA (select all that apply), Matrix, Drop-Down Cloze, BowTie, and Unfolding Case Studies. Full Access practice rotates all of them, so nothing on exam day is a surprise.

What do I get for free?
A free account gets you 150 questions a month with adaptive difficulty and instant rationales, forever, no credit card needed. Your first 7 answers show where you stand against the PN blueprint. Full Access is $15/month and unlocks the timed Test Simulation, BowTie, Case Studies, and unlimited standard practice. Cancel anytime.
Is this a full-length simulated NCLEX-PN®?
The free plan is daily practice, not a mock exam: untimed questions with an instant rationale after each one. When you want exam-day conditions, the Test Simulation runs a timed, computer-adaptive session that mirrors the PN format and ends with topic-level results against Lily's practice standard. Test Simulation is part of Full Access.
How many questions is the real NCLEX-PN®?
The NCLEX-PN® is computer-adaptive and serves between 85 and 150 questions. It ends once it can determine your result with confidence, so you won't answer the same number as the student next to you. Study With Lily's practice adapts the same way, so you get used to the format before test day.
What score do I need to pass the NCLEX-PN®?
There's no fixed passing percentage. The computer-adaptive engine scores the exam and decides pass or fail once it's confident your ability is above or below the passing standard. So the best way to prepare is to practice at adaptive difficulty and close the gaps in your weakest client-needs categories. That's exactly what Study With Lily focuses on.
Does this practice match the 2026 PN test plan?
Yes. Study With Lily is built to match the 2026 NCLEX-PN® test plan structure. Practice follows the same client-needs categories the exam uses, weighted toward Coordinated Care the way the PN blueprint is, in the same Next Gen question formats.
What question types will I practice?
The Next Gen formats the NCLEX-PN® uses: SBA (single best answer), SATA (select all that apply), Matrix, Drop-Down Cloze, BowTie, and Unfolding Case Studies. Full Access rotates all of them into your sessions based on your difficulty level and the topic you're studying. On the free plan you'll practice every format except BowTie and Unfolding Case Studies, which unlock with Full Access.
Does this work for LVN students too?
Yes. LVN (licensed vocational nurse) is the same license as LPN in California and Texas, and both sit for the NCLEX-PN®. Everything here is built for that exam, so LVN students practice the exact same blueprint.
