Vol. 01 · The Method

How the practice exam
works.

  1. Start a timed exam session

Choose your topic focus and session length. The timer starts and questions appear in exam-like conditions with no rationales until you finish.

  2. Answer under real exam pressure

Questions adapt to your performance similar to the real NCLEX® CAT algorithm. All core Next Gen formats appear: SBA, SATA, Matrix, Drop-Down Cloze, BowTie, and Unfolding Case Studies.

  3. Get your verdict, then review every rationale

After you finish, the simulation gives you a pass-standard read on where you stand, not just a percent score. Then review every question with detailed rationales and see which topics need more work before exam day.

Vol. 02 · Two Modes

Practice mode
vs. exam mode.

Use both together. Practice mode to learn, exam mode to test yourself under real conditions.

Vol. 04 · Questions

Common questions.

How is the practice exam different from practice mode?

Practice mode gives you instant rationales after every question so you can learn as you go. The practice exam holds all rationales until you finish, simulating the real NCLEX® experience. Practicing under timed conditions builds the pacing instinct you need on exam day. Both modes use adaptive difficulty.

Is the practice exam timed?

Yes. You set your session length and a timer counts down, simulating the time pressure of the real exam. This builds the pacing and stamina you need for test day.

Does the practice exam tell me if I would pass?

Yes. The real NCLEX® is pass or fail against a standard, not a percentage score. Your results page gives you a verdict in the same spirit: on track to pass, right on the line, or keep building. It's based on your performance on questions in the hardest NCLEX® difficulty band, and you need at least 25 answered questions in a simulation for a reliable read.

Does the practice exam use the same CAT algorithm as the real NCLEX®?

The practice exam uses adaptive difficulty that adjusts based on your performance, similar to the NCLEX® CAT algorithm. As you answer correctly, questions get harder. As you miss, they get easier. This gives you a realistic sense of where your ability level falls.
